Add fun holiday themed extras like colored M&M’s or sprinkles to make these fit any holiday theme or party all year round.
Well, it’s nearly time for another holiday, Valentine’s Day of course! Valentine’s Day has never been a big deal for our family. We usually make each other homemade cards and make pizza from scratch. So no crazy restaurant dinners overpriced flowers or anything like that here. Although, we are always down for some delicious dessert. Whether you love of hate this holiday I think we can all agree that this Skillet Brownie Sundae is a must. Whether you are sharing with a lover, indulging on your own, or sharing with a friend this chocolate explosion will bring a smile to your face and heart. Top with extras like ice cream, hot fudge and strawberries for the perfect finish.
Would it even be Christmas without some gingerbread?! Technically, sure it would, but you know in your soul you would be missing out on one of the season’s best flavors. Instead of making the same ole gingerbread cookie I decided to mix it up and combine gingerbread and the delicious truffle. Enter these Gingerbread Truffles! The perfect combination of ginger, chocolate and topped with a spiced sugar. Bonus is that there is no baking required and these are ready to eat and share in about 15 minutes!

Who is ready for Christmas?! I’ll answer first: ME! Christmas is my favorite time of year. I love decorating the Christmas tree, watching the snow fall, seeing the lights and consuming so many sweets! These Chocolate Cake Cookies with Peppermint Sprinkle combine all of my favorite holiday flavors: dark chocolate, white chocolate and peppermint. These are the perfect indulgent treat and pair perfectly with some hot cocoa or a glass of milk. These cookies are ready in about 30 minutes, simple and fun for kids to help with, and of course super tasty! Happy Holidays and enjoy this cookie recipe.
The season of shopping is among us! Black Friday is this week and the early deals are going on nearly everywhere. This week always gets me excited, because I know it is nearly time for Christmas! While I have always loved shopping and the deals during this time of year, this year I am going to do my gift giving a bit differently. Every year I buy things and most of which ends up being junk or cheap (guess it was on super sale for a reason). Therefore, I want to try and make as many gifts for my friends and family as I can. Not only do I think this approach is more thoughtful it is also more creative and cost effective. Immediately I thought of food related gifts and who wouldn’t love the best edible cookie dough as a gift this year?!
The Holiday season finally among us! The time of year where we gather with friends and family to catch-up, make memories, laugh and of course eat. I also love the holiday season, because no matter what there is always room for dessert. These Gooey Butter Cake Cookies are a St. Louis classic that are so simple to make. They are ready in less than 30 minutes and work perfect as a last-minute holiday treat. This recipe combines butter, cream cheese and powdered sugar for the perfect buttery and sweet cookie.
It is finally Fall! This is my favorite season and time of year. I love the crisp air, leaves changing colors, bonfires and, of course, all things pumpkin! Truth be told I consume pumpkin all year round but once that first leaf falls all of a sudden I want pumpkin everything! My mom made a delicious pumpkin bread growing up, but, unfortunately, she has lost the recipe! To my dismay I had to come up with a replacement recipe. Luckily, this Pumpkin Spice Loaf Cake with Dark Chocolate Swirl at least ties my mom’s recipe in deliciousness. The combination of pumpkin, spices and dark chocolate are everything I love and perfect for a Fall dessert!
These gooey chocolate fudge brownies are so delicious. They are extremely chocolaty, rich and pair perfectly with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Whenever I need to make a dessert for a get-together I often turn to this brownie recipe. Every time I make them they are always gone quickly! To me that is always the sign of a good recipe! I love to bake and it was the first thing I got good at in the kitchen. Mostly because I loved eating desserts so much more than my actual meal. I have so many great memories of baking with my grandma making cakes, pies, cookies and of course brownies!
